Spotted in October 2022, in a restaurant that was done up to be "rustic" but not very well. TV log fires are... something, but this really ruins the illusion.

The interesting bit is that the TV is trying to be helpful and conserve power when "not in use". I've seen the same for streaming shows and photo slideshows that cut out in waiting rooms. Sometimes, you just want a dumb TV (or TV service) that doesn't make assumptions about how you're using it.
